HISTORY

This is swayambhu temple of Sri Nagapalli Lakshminarasimha Swamy. Narasimha swamy incarnated in "Nagapalli" (Present day Kishanrao pet village)  and  mentioned in "Narasimha Shathakam".

This mulavirat become known when lord narasimha himself came in a dream to a devotee showing this place for the first time. Since then, temple being in existence.

There are bees reside on the hill top just behind the Mulavirat , a walkway leading to a small  shallow pond.People  say that, they witnessed those bees hounded out the people  from hilltop ,who didn't follow some norm or involved in some kind of unethical act before visiting the temple. Please bear in mind.

There is a story, saying once upon a time a Dhobi  was met with an accident when she tried to wash the clothes in the pond with full of water behind the mulavirat ,the portion of rock fell on her taking  his/her life .You can still see that rock ,looks like nicely cut where it had fallen in that place.
